Manual Glue Pumpe D2

General informations
Air-operated piston-dosing-pump (glue pump).
Pump and Pump manual are exclusively for commercial and industrial use.The pump mustn't be used by private persons. In the following instructions every person is called an operator which is handling, mounting or maintaining the pump. Every operator has to read carefully and completely the present manual before using, installing or service the pump. It is to make secure that every operator knows the manual and is following to it. Operators should read this manual in delned terms and who is running a business has the responsibility that operators are well trained with this pump. Operators have to know basics of electricity and pneumatic. The company running in business has to make secure that operators know the content and is using the pump according to this manual.

Pass this manual to third persons if the pump is given to them (selling, lending...). It's not allowed to
pass the pump without manual.

Advices in case of danger
  • To avoid personnel injury, don't ignore the significant instructions.
  • Important informations referring mounting, operating, maintenance and danger risk.
Mounting-sketch of the piston pump
Mounting of the piston pump
Pay attention to the advices in case of danger and safety precautions at page 15 before mounting the pump.

Air-connection 4-6 bar.
Use tube of ⅜" up to the pump and mount at the pump a filter-regulator of ¼" together with stop valve. Compressed air: filtered in accordance with DIN ISO 8573

Electric-connector 230V/50 hz.
Electricity consumption max. 8 Ampere, heating performance min. 175 Watt, max. 1400 Watt. Heater and heater regulator are wired with the outleading electric-cable. -ount relative plug onto cable, type of protection: IP 65
Only by trained stuff!

Medium.

The pump is to be used exclusively for the extraction of glue for labeling machines. The extraction of an other medium only after permission by the pump-producer. Temperature of medium max. 70 °c

Mounting of pump and container
Put pump with cover in aisi and vertical adjustment onto glue-container. Height should be regulated to permit just contact with container bottom to the suction tube of the pump. To avoid any hurt please control sealing and seats of pipe and tube. Suctiontube as well as pressure tube should have at least ¾" using liquids with high viscosity, in case tube is longer than 1000 mm we recommend tubes of 1" or ¼"
Starting the pump
  1. Connect air-supply.
  2. Connect electric contacts, this will be shown by a LED on the pump-display.
  3. Open valve of air-supply.
  4. Regulate pression between 4 and 6 bar.

Pump now should work self priming liquid. High viscous liquids will be tucked with slow movements of piston.Regulate quantity with screwdriver-throttle. Heater is starting when air-pressure is more than 3 bar. Without any pression heater will not start due to electric - pneumatic button-switch. Display shows run of electric power.
Display - adjusting set point
The adjustment of the set point occurs in Centigrade. All information given in this manual are in Centigrade (°c) ( Please note: also differences in temperature are indicated in Centigrade degrees to avoid confusions and for better practicability. We know that the differences in terms of physics are to be described in Kelvin. In this manual a temperature difference of 1°c corresponds to a temperature difference of 1 K.)

To adjust the desired set temperature of the glue temperature, the operator proceeds as follows:

Press button 1 or 2 until display shows the desired nominal temperature. Then you release the button, the temperature display blinks shortly and the adjusted value is stored. !after that the display switches to the actual effective temperature. In case you want to modify the nominal temperature again, please repeat the procedure.
Responsibility and guarantee
We grant one year guarantee on material and manufacturing for all Timmer-glue pumps to the primary purchaser beginning with delivery date, presumed correct use excluded normal attrition. In case of mounting non original Timmer-spare-parts guarantee is cancelled immediately.

Accordingly to law in force Timmer is not liable for any secondary danger. Warranty of Timmer will be limited in all cases and never will climb over purchase price.

Purchaser should clear national and local laws and rules to make sure that the Timmer glue pump to be purchased and used is accordingly to valid mounting and application rules.
Warning - safety precautions
  • The Pump is provided for the output of glue in labeling-machines only.
  • Wear appropriate safety equipment while using the pump. Who is running this pump has to make sure that every operator wear safety-gloves, -glasses and -clothes.
  • Only qualiled stuff is allowed to disassemble or repair the pump. All connections have to be disconnected before the maintenance. Wear proper safety equipment.
  • Clean the pump only with non aggressive media at max. 70°c. Danger of destroyed parts after a non correct cleaning procedure. Do not clean with a high pressure cleaner.
  • The pump is working with air pressure from 4 - 6 bar. Higher pressure can cause injuries, pump or property damages.
  • Do not exceed the maximum airline pressure as stated on the pump model plate.
  • Be sure material hoses and other components are able to withstand muid pressures produced by this pump. Check all hoses for damage or wear. Be certain dispensing device is clean and in proper working condition.
  • This pump is not to be used in Ex-areas.
  • Hazardous pressure. Can result in serious injury or property damage. Do not service or clean pump, hoses or dispensing valve while the system is pressurized.
  • Disconnect air supply line and relieve pressure from the system by opening dispensing valve or device and/or carefully and slowly loosening and removing outlet hose or piping from pump.
  • Hazardous materials. Can cause serious injury or property damage. Do not return a pump to the factory or service center that contains hazardous material. Safe handling practices must comply with local and national laws and safety code requirements.
  • Obtain -arterial Safety Data Sheets on all materials from the supplier for proper handling instructions.
  • Be certain all operators of this equipment have been trained for safe working practices, understand its limitations, and wear safety glasses/equipment when necessary.
  • Do not use the pump for the structural support of the piping system. Be certain the system components are properly used to prevent stress on the pump parts.
  • Suction and discharge connections should be flexible connections (such as hose), not rigid piped, and should be compatible with the substance being pumped.
  • Prevent unnecessary damage to the pump. Do not allow pump to operate when out of material for long periods of time.
  • Disconnect air line from pump when system is not in use for long periods of time.
  • Turn pump on top only after pump has been cleaned.
  • High currency can destroy the pump.
  • Use only original 4immer-spare-parts.

Copyright
All documents are copyrighted. Pass this manual to third persons if the pump is given to them (selling, lending...). It's not allowed to pass the pump without manual. Not allowed is transmission and multip - laying of this manual without strict and written agreement of Timmer.
Maintenance / stripping
  • Before stripping pump remove plug, to avoid personal injuries.
  • Before stripping pump clean it if necessary with hot water or solution to avoid injuries caused by chemicals in the pump (check compatibility of glue which is used and water).

Mounting and stripping
Mounting suction valve and pressure valve
Mount 3+4 together into tube 2 before screwing with tube
Add tube 2 into clamp tightening both tubes. After this tight screws (part 5).

Stripping suction valve and pressure valve
Stripping suction- and pressure valve, tighten tube 2 in clamp, unscrew tube 1 and take away.
